About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a school location in Vineland, New Jersey. The role involves monitoring and patrolling the school to maintain a visible security presence and help deter incidents. The officer responds to incidents, communicates professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and supports a welcoming environment. Pay is $22.64 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Undergo a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen as conditions of employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the site and its perimeter.
- Communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
