About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Patrol Protection Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a government location in Daytona Beach, Florida. The role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to situations as they arise. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a welcoming environment.

The position pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. The selected candidate must participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law and may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control activities, and emergency response protocols at a government law-enforcement location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and direct visitors according to established procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, suspicious activity, and other security-related observations.
