About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed patrol Security Officer for an assigned financial institution in Providence, Rhode Island. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, and employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional shifts can allow employees to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The stated schedule is Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Pay is $27.43 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; required licenses may be needed before employment.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter, and report unusual conditions and potential concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following site protocols and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity to deter unauthorized entry and support a professional environment for employees and customers.
• Maintain required reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
