About The Position
As a Security Officer in Norwood, Massachusetts, you will serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution. In this unarmed patrol role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. The position is full-time and pays $24.00 per hour. Scheduled hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor authorization according to site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
- Maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity and provide clear directions and support to people at the location.
