About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare company in the Boston, Massachusetts area. The role serves and safeguards clients in a healthcare setting, helping provide a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The officer conducts unarmed patrols, maintains a visible security presence, supports access control, responds professionally to concerns and incidents, and documents and communicates relevant information. The starting pay is $19.70 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training are provided. The schedule is Monday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorization as directed, and providing directions or assistance to visitors and staff.
Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
