About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an investment company at a commercial real estate location in Boston, Massachusetts. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control and badge processes, and providing customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel. The role requires clear communication, professionalism, and integrity while following site-specific procedures and responding to security incidents and emergencies.

The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Paid orientation and paid training are provided. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and other security incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
