About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for an educational location at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. The role involves conducting routine rounds, communicating professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. The position pays $14.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and campus information, and report unauthorized access or policy violations to designated personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate with campus representatives, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders about incidents and daily activities.
