About The Position

As a Security Officer HOA Access Control in Laguna Niguel, California, you will help create a welcoming, controlled environment at a residential community. You will monitor entry points, verify access, assist residents and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and support routine patrol activities while providing exceptional customer service. The role requires a professional presence, clear communication, and a commitment to integrity and people-first service. This is a part-time position scheduled Friday and Saturday from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The stated pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors while following access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and effectively to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry gates, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Communicate professionally with residents and management, prepare accurate activity reports, and support a welcoming residential community environment.
