About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex HOA Access Control in Orange, California. The officer will safeguard clients across varied sites and support access control and security operations. The role offers exposure to different locations and assignments, with a schedule of 30–40 hours per week that varies based on manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and the officer may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to meet client needs. The pay rate is $20.10 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling and irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel required distances.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site Post Orders.
