About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access control at a logistics and distribution location in North Charleston, South Carolina. The officer will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. The role supports a welcoming, professional environment through clear communication and customer service, while working as part of a team focused on reliability, innovation, integrity, and putting people first. The stated schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
Observe entry points, vehicle gates, and receiving areas to help deter unauthorized access, and report unusual activity or access concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones.
