About The Position

Securitas on-site Security Officers provide professional security services to help safeguard people, property, and information. Officers are expected to be reliable, accountable, punctual, and committed to Securitas’ values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. The position is based in Minden, Nevada, pays $18.00 per hour, and is a full-time graveyard-shift role. The role involves monitoring and patrolling client premises, securing entrances and exits, following post orders, and completing assigned rounds. Officers interact frequently with client employees and guests, provide customer service, identify and report safety concerns or suspicious activity, respond appropriately to emergencies, and prepare detailed written reports. Officers use technology devices during their shifts and may perform other similar duties as required at the assigned site. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Above-average computer and technology skills.
Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Great attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
Professional demeanor.
Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.
Ability to conduct patrols throughout the shift.
Valid driver’s license required for some locations.

Nice To Haves

Security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
Follow all post orders and complete assigned rounds.
Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
Use technology devices throughout the shift.
Patrol inside and outside the client’s premises.
Secure entrances and exits.
Provide detailed written reports.
Carry out other tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
Respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
