About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer in Tampa, Florida, serving clients in industries including chemical and petrochemical. The role involves carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. The position pays $17.50 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Work conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
