About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role involves customer service, security procedures, access monitoring, incident response, and routine foot or vehicle patrols. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for this driving position.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card or license is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating information according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse, loading dock, parking, trailer, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and delivery traffic according to site-specific procedures.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
