About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused business location in Madison, Alabama. The officer will help safeguard the site by patrolling assigned interior and exterior areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. The role also involves responding to incidents and alarms, documenting observations, reporting facility concerns, and using computer or tablet systems as needed.

The listed schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.46 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state or local licensing requirements if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience using a computer or tablet.

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, common areas, parking locations, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting access-related concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Maintain awareness of facility conditions, report hazards or maintenance concerns, and complete required activity reports.
