About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol security officer at a logistics and distribution location in San Jose, California, you will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and assisting with screening activities. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication, use computer or tablet tools as needed, respond calmly to incidents, and document patrol activity. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and pays $23.60 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state and/or local law and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations calmly; escalate issues according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and vehicle activity, verify authorized entry, and direct visitors, drivers, and vendors according to site requirements.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership or responding personnel.
