Security Officer Full Time Access Point Security
About The Position
As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location in Charlotte, North Carolina, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and report security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation, and may involve using computer or tablet systems. The position is full-time and pays $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related access authorizations, and control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, and visitors.
- Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery logs; issue and collect access credentials according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
