About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Point Operations in Olathe, Kansas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while supporting security-related operations. The role is full time and pays $18.75 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as a condition of employment and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen, as a condition of employment and to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery appointments, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records, and communicate access concerns or discrepancies to appropriate site contacts.
Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
