Security Officer Part Time Access Authorization Specialist
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer serving as an Access Authorization Specialist at a financial institution location in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. The role helps safeguard the site by managing entry points, verifying access credentials and visitor authorization, monitoring visitor activity, and maintaining a professional and welcoming presence. The officer supports a secure environment through clear communication, attention to detail, and prompt reporting of security-related concerns. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and access-control protocols; participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Direct visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific access requirements.
