About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a healthcare location in Watsonville, California. The role helps maintain a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. Officers remain visible, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns while supporting a culture of teamwork, integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation. The position pays $20.00 per hour and is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas in accordance with healthcare facility policies.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and access-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
