Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access Authorization
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Salt Lake City, Utah. The officer will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal with integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation. The schedule is Thursday and Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, at a rate of $19.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing requirements may apply and may need to be met before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, visitors, and vehicles according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company and site requirements.
