About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer – Access Authorization in Elmsford, New York. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned logistics and distribution site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and can scale back when needed.

The position pays $16.92–$17.92 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. The officer supports access control, customer service, patrols, incident response, and reporting in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery vehicles; verify credentials and maintain required access records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activities in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
