About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an unarmed patrol and access-screening role at a logistics and distribution location in San Jose, California. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and adjust their schedules as needed. The stated pay rate is $23.60 per hour.

The role involves providing customer service while carrying out security procedures and site policies, responding to incidents and access issues, conducting facility patrols, monitoring entry points, and documenting and communicating relevant observations. Candidates must be at least 18 years old for this unarmed position and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law; applicable licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for this unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, delivery-related concerns, access issues, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, entry points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions in required reports.
• Communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
