About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an unarmed patrol and screening assignment at a logistics and distribution location in Newark, California. The role provides a designated site and dependable weekly anchor shift, with a required six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to vary their hours and build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The position pays $23.60 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM. The officer provides customer service and security support, monitors access and traffic, conducts unarmed patrols, responds to incidents, and documents activity. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and facility personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations to site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading zones, trailer yards, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and traffic flow for employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and vehicles according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to incoming personnel and site management.
