About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an enhanced patrol and screening assignment at a logistics and distribution site in Romulus, Michigan. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The pay rate is $18.99 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of shipping and receiving areas, vehicle access points, parking areas, facility grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the logistics and distribution location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe operational areas for unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations, and report concerns according to established procedures.
