About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting in Syracuse, New York, you will safeguard patients, residents, visitors, and staff while helping maintain a welcoming environment. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide visible security presence, deliver customer service, and respond professionally to routine concerns and emergencies. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, residents, visitors, and staff while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and follow established response protocols.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report access-control concerns to site leadership.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
