About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Syracuse, New York, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government transportation services location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding professionally to site needs.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, screen and direct visitors according to entry procedures, and maintain professional interactions in a public-facing government office environment.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
