About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Response Patrol in Binghamton, New York, to provide security services at an assigned financial institution. The position has fixed weekly anchor shifts on Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a required six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. The role also allows the officer to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, with hours potentially varying from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $24.75 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site security procedures, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access and visitor activity, responds to incidents and alarms, and completes required reports and logs. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing may be required under state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license only if the position requires driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or access concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
