About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced unarmed Security Officer for an assigned commercial office property in Houston, Texas. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, plus the option to claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and performs security-related procedures, site-specific duties, and appropriate emergency response activities. Work includes unarmed patrols, monitoring access and site activity, responding to incidents, and documenting and communicating relevant information.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience, or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control or badge experience.
• Possession of a guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures; report unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and site contacts.
