About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology facility in Boise, Idaho, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. You will communicate professionally while helping maintain a welcoming environment, follow site-specific policies and security procedures, and respond to emergencies and other critical situations according to established protocols. The posted schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts.
