About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to support a technology data center in Sterling, Virginia. The role involves providing customer service and security support to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers; conducting patrols; monitoring access points and activity; and responding to incidents and alarms. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $26.06 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and exterior grounds to identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow emergency response protocols, and promptly report concerns to appropriate personnel.
Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications to support continuity of security operations.
