About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for access monitoring at an assigned technology-focused corporate location in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, offering consistent hours. The officer may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and scale back when needed.

The role involves providing customer service while following site-specific security procedures and responding to emergencies. Duties include unarmed patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and maintaining accurate records and shift communications. The posted pay rate is $19.73 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local law before employment, if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter of a technology-focused corporate location.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, solving problems and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
