About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Monitoring in Newville, Pennsylvania. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned logistics and distribution site, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. The position offers the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, with opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week and work toward a full-time schedule. The pay rate is $18.54 per hour.

The officer provides customer service, monitors and controls site access, responds to incidents, monitors vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and conducts patrols. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points at a logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, processing visitor and driver entry, and maintaining required access records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic while supporting delivery, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
