About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for access monitoring at a food production location in Milford, Delaware. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow an employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.25 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and drivers while following site-specific security procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing access credentials, and directing authorized personnel.
• Screen visitors, vendors, deliveries, and vehicles according to site procedures and help protect restricted production, warehouse, and administrative areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and facility access points; document observations and report unusual activity.
