About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an assigned financial institution site in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary with extra shifts, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The position pays $17.34 per hour. The scheduled anchor shift is Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The officer provides customer service while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response protocols. Duties include unarmed patrols, access monitoring, responding to incidents and alarms, and documenting and communicating relevant findings.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter of the financial institution.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and policy violations.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol findings, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
