About The Position

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry in Berea, Kentucky, you will serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial settings. In this access-control role, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, support visitor management, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity and communicate with employees, visitors, and teams. The role delivers reliable, customer-focused security services with integrity and teamwork. This is a full-time position paying $14.75 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements required by state or local laws and regulations before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures and policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, vendors, and deliveries according to site procedures, helping deter unauthorized entry.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds; document observations and report security-related concerns.
