About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a gated community in Irvine, California. In this access control role, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service. The position is scheduled for a swing shift, Thursday through Sunday, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a rate of $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and clients by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, and by participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and vendor logs, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Communicate professionally with property management, residents, and emergency responders.
Document incidents and complete required reports.
