About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a gated residential community in Trabuco Canyon, California. The officer will help safeguard the community by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, maintaining a visible presence, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role involves professional customer service and clear communication with residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors, while supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule is a mix of shifts: Monday and Tuesday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.40 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points; verify authorization for residents, guests, contractors, and deliveries; and maintain visitor and vehicle access records as required.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to established procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, community entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Communicate professionally with residents and visitors and report security-related observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
