About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Gated Community in Trabuco Canyon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and supporting residents, guests, and vendors with professional service. You will maintain a visible presence, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring values with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access at community entry points by verifying visitor authorization, documenting entries and exits, and communicating with residents or management as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of community grounds, common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
