As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, responding to security-related concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity and communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and team members. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit at community access points, verify visitor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and delivery records.
  • Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community grounds, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and property representatives while documenting observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
