About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to conduct asset protection at a supermarket chain location in New York, NY. The officer will help safeguard the retail grocery location, deter security concerns, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at a rate of $19.48 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols.
Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and other security-related concerns.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities, and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
