About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Asset Protection in Anchorage, Alaska, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. This is an unarmed security role focused on monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and reporting security-related concerns. You will engage professionally with employees, visitors, and the public while providing customer service and clear communication. The position is full-time and pays $21.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of municipal facilities, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established post orders and notification procedures.
Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site requirements.
Assist with access control, visitor direction, and enforcement of site rules while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
