About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a shopping center in Culver City, California. The officer will safeguard clients at a retail and mall location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assisting visitors, tenants, and staff. The role emphasizes clear communication, exceptional customer service, and creating a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.

Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control, directions, and lost-and-found inquiries.
- Communicate with property management and first responders as needed.
