Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a shopping center in Irvine, California. The officer will drive patrol routes, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control. The role also involves customer service for tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff; responding professionally to security concerns; and carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate. The position is scheduled for overnight shifts, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, at $22.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver's license is required for driving positions.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns, and promptly report observations through established site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and requesting additional support when needed.
- Assist with access control, visitor assistance, and directional support.
- Document incidents and daily activities.
