About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling a variety of locations. The role preserves order by enforcing regulations and directives for client sites concerning personnel, visitors, and the area. The officer provides customer service to client employees and guests, monitors cameras, conducts property tours, scans checkpoints using a VISION device, and activates and deactivates badges. The schedule is an overnight shift from Friday through Monday, 0000–0800, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The wage range is $16.00–$18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Advanced computer and technology skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Professional demeanor.
• Report-writing skills.
• Willingness to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor premises, including access control and patrolling assigned locations.
• Enforce site regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Use technology devices throughout the shift.
• Conduct property tours and scan checkpoints using a VISION device.
• Monitor cameras.
• Activate and deactivate badges.
• Carry out other specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
