About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for driving perimeter patrol at a retail location in New Castle, Delaware. The role involves routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service and communication to clients, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel. The position pays $18.72 per hour and follows a daytime schedule: Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The officer carries out security procedures and site-specific policies, monitors assigned areas, reports concerns, responds to incidents, and accurately documents patrols and daily activities. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background investigation and drug screening; licensing may also be required under state or local regulations. Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
Monitor assigned areas and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, coordinating with site management, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and daily activities and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
