Security Officer Perimeter Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role serves and safeguards tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel while supporting a welcoming environment. The officer conducts regular and random patrols, maintains a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, monitors activity and access points, and responds to security concerns with professionalism and integrity. The position pays $20.65 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Friday from 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, assist with visitor direction, and communicate unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, observations, and security-related events.
