About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer – Part Time Patrol Compliance in Hampstead, Maryland. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the opportunity to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may work additional shifts and can build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $15.70 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse, loading dock, parking, trailer, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and support entry and exit procedures for personnel, deliveries, and commercial vehicles.
• Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate professionally with facility personnel and responding agencies as needed.
