Security Officer Full Time Access Monitor
About The Position
As a Security Officer serving as an Access Monitor at a logistics and distribution location in Spartanburg, South Carolina, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a professional presence, help deter incidents, and provide customer service and communication to employees, visitors, and drivers. The position is full time and pays $15.24 per hour. The scheduled shift is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The role includes following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies, responding to emergencies when appropriate, keeping accurate access records, and conducting patrols of access points and surrounding areas. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and driver entry, and maintain accurate access records.
- Follow entry, exit, and screening procedures to deter unauthorized entry and help protect shipments, vehicles, facilities, and property.
- Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
