About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer Access Monitor in Spartanburg, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role includes providing professional customer service, communicating clearly with visitors and staff, and supporting a welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control activities, incidents, and unusual conditions.
