About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Officer in Axis, Alabama, you will serve and safeguard clients at a chemical and petrochemical location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, track access activity, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. The position requires visibility to deter security-related incidents, strong customer service and communication, and a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access-related logs and documentation.
Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements and established security procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
